It feels like forever and a day ago that Shaun T came out with a home workout program, and it is probably because he has been doing workout events all over the nation because of his Hip Hop Abs workout routine. But finally he is releasing another home workout called, "Insanity with Shaun T." Even though Hip Hop Abs helped a lot of people, I was never really a big fan of the dance crave for working out. Shaun T's new workout does not look anything like Hip Hop Abs!! Which is good for people like me. The latest rumor on when this Shaun T workout is going to be released is around June. Which is not to far away.

Shaun T's Insanity Workout

So what is it all about and what does it have to offer me that is different from the rest? Well, there really has not been to much released on this "in home" workout. But it does look like it is going to have around 10 different workout discs, a fitness guide, and a nutrition guide. Shaun T's Insanity is a 60 day workout commitment to get your flab into muscle and is said to rival the P90x workout which is a 90 day workout. Shaun T's Insanity workouts will vary between a half an hour to an hour and get your heart racing.

The wonderful part about this workout, that is different than the rest, is that Insanity uses no workout equipment. I know that sounds weird, but trust me, this is no walk in the park. The plus sides to having no equipment is that you do not have to spend to much money, especially in times where money is difficult to come across, and you do not have workout equipment taking up space in your house. Do not be turned off from this workout because there is no weight lifting, because the weight of your body is going to be good enough for this high intensity workout.

What is the Shaun T's Insanity philosophy?

The whole insanity workout revolves around interval training. Traditionally, interval training involves short burst of energy once in awhile, but Insanity with Shaun T introduces a new way of interval training, called "Max Interval Training." What is that? Well, instead of short burst of energy, Shuan T flips it, so you will be doing long burst of energy with short break times. The key is to go for broke in every exercise. There are push ups, squats, core workouts and many new affective exercises that will get your heart pumping and have your fat melt off your body. Shaun T expects Insanity to be his biggest and best workout yet.

Who can do Shaun T's Insanity?

When I saw results on the people who did the Insanity workout, I noticed that most of them were not overweight. They did have stubborn fat, but the Insanity workout toned them up pretty well. So for the most part I believe that this workout is for people who are try to get definition in their arms, legs and abs. This workout is not for everyone. Insanity definitely looks challenging and you may need to consult your doctor before you take the 60 day leap, but this workout program will help anyone trying to lose a little weight and get toned.

How does Interval training help your body? It helps your body lead to adaptation response. Adaptation response happens because your body delivers more oxygen to your muscles in use. Your muscles will then begin to develop a better tolerance to lactate build-up. Which will help your performance in your workouts or sports.

Interval training will also help your body burn calories. There have been a few studies that suggest that more calories are burned with high burst of energy. You will burn more calories doing high bursts of energy than you would with slow endurance running. Get insanity!

i just got insanity and good lawd this is off the chain you cant do this stuff though and you dont eat right or your not giving your all in this or your skipping days.

I really want to get this video and start it before school starts back (Sept.2) but I'm 170ibs and I'm 5"1 do anyone know if this will really work....for me @ least??

@Latriece I would suggest that you contact your doctor. This workout is extremely challenging. Let your doctor see the video and he/she will determine if you're ready for this. Also Beachbody has 100's of programs for all fitness levels. I would suggest starting out w/Slim in 6. Go to Beachbody's website and join the forums for Slim in 6 and look at the pics/success stories. You will see results in six weeks. I'm on my second round of Insanity. It does work but it requires that you be at least intermediate fitness level or above. You can always modify the moves but you have to know your body's limits. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

I am on week two day 3. After doing pure cadio I woke up with a horrible headache. I almost feel a cold coming on. Today I am suppose to do Plyo (DVD 1)- any thoughts? Tomorrow is Recovert. I haven't noticed many changes yet either but i know this all takes time. I eat very clean. Anyone experience this the day after?

Hi i am 5' 6" and i weigh 147 pounds and i just started doing insanity by recomendation of a co-worker and i am so into it but i am hoping this works cause i just had a baby six months ago by c-sec and i am also eating healthy to keep with it but can someone tell me if i atleast have hopes with this workout? Thanks
